Ever since I was a child, I’ve been fascinated by stories filled with magic and wonder. Today, I have the privilege of sharing that joy with you by transporting readers into the fantastic worlds of my books.

I was born in Brühl, near Cologne, and now live close to Düsseldorf. For the past twenty years, I’ve been writing fantasy, adventure, and crime stories—some of them under the name Michael Borlik—for all readers who love magical adventures, epic battles, and romantic fantasy tales. I am the author of the bestselling series The Whispering Books, which is also available as audiobooks. I love Scotland, am an avid board game fan, and devour books at every opportunity. Because, as I like to say: *"Reading means dreaming—and who would we be without our dreams?"*

I'm particularly drawn to English, Scottish, and Irish myths, which is why many of my books are set in the UK. London is simply an amazing city. Its diverse districts and cultural backgrounds offer incredible potential for exciting stories about magic, enchanted libraries, grumpy ghosts, and sexy witches and wizards.

What else do I love? Cats! My cat Alina is now over 17 years old and a well-groomed elderly lady who spends her days napping on the sofa or in her cozy cat cave. Quite enviable. I’m also crazy about ice cream, gummy bears, cake, and chips… and I could play card and board games forever!
